Legal Bits

It is necessary to book for Afternoon Tea - a minimum of 2 people is required. 

Upon booking a non-refundable deposit will be taken to reserve the table.

Themed afternoon tea events are ticketed, therefore tickets are non-refundable.

Where the party is for 8 guests or more we ask that the organiser collects the balance and pays a week in advance of the visit.  Unfortunately the balance is non refundable. 

Tickets to our themed Afternoon Teas are secured once the deposit has been made. The deposit is only valid for the theme you have booked for and is not transferable. Please call us if you need to move your booking. We require at least 7 days notice should you need to make any changes.

It is the responsibility of the person who books to ensure the behaviour of the party members and to give 7 days notice of any changes in numbers  to the booking or any cancellations. Failure to do so will result in the full amount being charged.

We respectfully ask that you assist us in helping the environment to cut down on waste by letting us know in advance if one of your party won't be attending. Failure to do so will result in you being charged in full

Private hire will require a non refundable deposit and payment in full 7 days prior to the visit date. 

We are not always able to fulfil requests for certain tables.  We will do our best to help however this is not always possible. 

Our Afternoon Teas vary in price.  Please check upon booking.

Please advise us upon booking of any dietary requirements or allergies. 

We are unable to guarantee a nut free environment.

If your allergy is extreme or you are affected by airborne allergens then we will be unable to cater for you.  We do not have a separate Kitchen designated for specific allergies and so with your safety in mind we are unable to take your booking. 

Tables are generally booked for you for 1.5-2 hours and we strictly adhere to the timetable so as not to adversely affect the enjoyment of other guests.

Please note a discretionary 10% service charge is added to every afternoon tea booking.

The Parlour Tea Room is unsuitable for children under the age of six.  Unfortunately due to the nature of the tea room and space constraints, we are unable to offer high-chairs or the space for push-chairs.  

The Parlour Tea Room is unfortunately not accessible to wheelchair users as there are four steps down into the Tea Room.  During our Themed Events we will have temporary installations which may have extra steps and restricted access.  If you think any of your party may have any difficulty please contact and advise us upon booking

We ask all our guests regardless of age, to respect the enjoyment of our other paying guests.

By booking you agree to our terms & conditions and understand that you could be liable for the cost of any of your party who fail to attend.

 

 

Gift Cards

Gift Cards are redeemable against most of our Themed Afternoon Teas. 

Please note they are not valid for use at our Mothers Day and Christmas Afternoon Tea.

For our postal gift card please allow for 7 days for delivery.

Gift cards are non-refundable and non-exchangeable and must be used in only one purchase (two afternoon teas on the same day).

Gift cards are valid for 1 year from date of purchase. 

Please keep your gift card safe as it is proof of purchase and will be required when making your reservation. You will also need to bring your gift card with you on the day of your Afternoon Tea. 

If you are not able to produce your gift card we will be unable to honour the Afternoon Tea, therefore you may be charged the full amount. 

Allergy Information

  • We cannot guarantee a nut free environment and there may be traces of nuts within all of our products

  • Please note that whilst we will do our best to meet your dietary requirements, due to the nature of Afternoon Tea, there may be some circumstances where we are unable to provide an alternative.  Please therefore make sure to advise us at least 48hrs prior to your booking of any specific amendments to our usual menu.

  • If your allergy is extreme and you are effected by airborne allergens then we are sorry but we will not be able to cater for your needs.   This is something we are saying for your own safety.  Our kitchen handles Wheat, Nut, Egg and Dairy products in large quantities and we are therfore not able to offer Afternoon Teas to guests who suffer allergic reactions to any of these products.  We do not have a separate kitchen designated for specific allergies.

  • Please inform your server of any allergies and intolerance before you order any food from the menu so we can do our best to accommodate.

  • Upon booking afternoon tea please inform us of any dietary requirements and allergies. We can cater for vegans and vegetarians.   For any other individual requirements please call us on 01702 714766 and we will do our best to cater to your needs.

  • If you are booking on behalf of other guests please ensure that they are aware of our allergen policy
